"Riding Man" is a randomly occurring, fire-engulfed art bike at the annual Burning Man project in Black Rock City, Nevada. The sculpture is a real eye-catching, rabble-rousing, crowd-pleaser. Many people have commented that they see the sculpture is an "icon" in Black Rock City and that it captures the essence of the Burning Man project in a very effective way. I am always blown away by the generosity of such comments that literally hundreds of people share with me each year. This particular video was shot towards the end of a fifteen-minute ride around the base of the man. The fuel is quite intense for the first five mins of a ride and then gradually tapers off until entirely out. It is then that I return to Illumination Village to refuel then return to the playa and let a volunteer "lite my fire," Full, raging flames happen shortly thereafter and the crowd (especially from a distance) is shocked, exasperated and usually left laughing at the flaming s « menos
